Arizona Deluxe edition
A two week trip around Arizona in spring 2023 inspired the creation of this book. Setting off from San Diego, California, we arrived at Yuma, just inside the state border of Arizona. Then onto Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon and beyond. Arizona is a vibrant tapestry of desert vistas, towering red rocks, deep canyons, and lush forests. Twenty six paintings represent my first impressions of the overpowering and ancient beauty of the State. The text similarly refects first impressions, but of the early settlers, collected in a “History of Arizona” by the historian Thomas Edwin Farish, published in 1914.
The deluxe edition of only 15 copies is casebound in red and black goatskin leather with a pattern of red and cream leather inlays inspired by an Indian Chiefs blanket. The clamshell box is laminated with a cactus pattern printed onto Brillianta cloth. Included in the box is a cloth covered portfolio containing 8 signed prints.
